My yoga teaching is heavily influenced by my ten years of experience as an Alexander Technique teacher, and by my training in somatic movement and therapy. My blend of yoga and the Alexander Technique is unique, and even if you’ve been a yoga practitioner for a very long time, you will gain a whole different level of consciousness to bring to your practice. You will discover poor body use habits that follow you on and off your mat, and learn to let the wisdom of your body come through instead.  You will never think about “alignment” the same way again, and you’ll have a set of skills you can use in yoga postures and in your everyday life.

I purposely trained in two very different yoga styles. My first training was with Sean Johnson at Wild Lotus Yoga in New Orleans, and it was a life-changing bhakti vinyasa training, full of vigor, life, and celebration.  My most recent training has been at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, where I learned a more subtle but equally powerful side of the practice.  I enjoy being able to teach in a number of different styles so I can meet the needs of whoever is in the room.

Currently, my yoga classes are held at a private facility that is not open to the public, but I am available for one-on-one and group classes by appointment. If you’d like to schedule a private yoga session or a group class, please contact me at (917) 533-2857.
